Sempre dallo stesso produttore, tempo addietro abbiamo visto DrumKat, ora vediamo il MalletKat.

MalletKat è un controller percussivo MIDI il cui lo scopo è quello di offrire una maggiore espressività ai percussionisti.

E’ certo inusuale trovare un controller dedicato ai suonatori di Xilofono e simili ma lo trovo veramente interessante anche perché avendo a disposizione un buon numero di pads, è possibile fare alcune cose non fattibili a questi livelli con altri controller della stessa famiglia (percussivi).

Tanto per farvi un esempio banale, è possibile collegare il MalletKat ad un synth, un expander o quello che vi pare via MIDI e controllarne i suoni percuotendo le aree sensibili.
